Title: The latest quickfire rapids...
Post by: muad on Fri, 06 September 2013, 17:47:33
Hey all, has anyone purchased the new quickfire rapids lately? I know they are all unbranded but some sites are showing them with a black case. I'm just wondering if they really are shipping with black cases and if so are they matte and rubbery like the stealth case or shiny hard plastic like a filco case?

As far as I know about the qfr's is that the one with red or green switches has a black case and all the others are grey. Both should have a rubberized coating.

The coolermaster store shows the browns with a black case, but if it's rubberized not interested. I had a quickfire stealth and found the coating really shows dirt more than a typical plastic keyboard. Maybe I will look into a ducky... Filco is too expensive and I tried the wasd v2 and the fit around the keys is really bad; the plastic was almost touching the keycaps!

All QFRs now ship with Black cases regardless of switch type.

They are Rubberized but have been *Upgraded* to a new type of rubber coating (Better durability) which can be found on the XT.

Well, I've been wrong for about a week now. Thanks Carter!
