Title: Hello everyone!
Post by: ssdt on Sun, 08 September 2013, 12:08:53
Hey everyone!
My name is Sascha and I'm from Germany (like many others here as I have seen),
currently a Graduate Student at the Goethe University of Frankfurt/Main.

I am also supervising courses on Academic Writing, the proper use of word processing programs (such as Microsoft Word and especially LaTeX) and German Literature in addition to various workshops (InDesign). For that reason and I am a little tired of using the ISO-Layout with German chars, googled around and voilą, I'm here.

I am planning on buying my first professional Mechanical Keyboard VERY soon, because I am writing a lot. (Not yet decided, I hope to gather as much info as I can here.)

Hoping for a great time together,
Sascha

If you're typing a lot, like more than four hours at a time, I recommend the Topre RealForce 87U ergonomically variable weighted keyboard (and silent too, so you won't bother your neighboring scholars).  http://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=topre_keyboards,rftenkeyless&pid=rf_se170s
