Title: Mental Zinc Alloy R4 Keycaps from BANGGOOD.com
Post by: nden on Thu, 12 September 2013, 04:48:13: I've just checked New Arrival section from Banggood.com and found out they are selling Mental Zinc Alloy Embossment R4 Personality Keycaps for Cherry MX. They look awesome and I'm gonna order them now.

yea, they are over $5 a piece (or $5 a piece and $3 for shipping if you do the math and counter the 'free shipping')

I agree, I still think they look cool, but wanted to put up my views that they probably aren't full engraved pieces.

there are laser etched ones on ebay for $4 sold individually but I didn't find these
I did find a set of 37 blank zincs for ~$75

You're dead-on with that last link - the key is having LED shine. I'm keeping an eye on the auction, but given how recent auctions have gone, I have a feeling there will be fierce competition for this one. I'm just putting out feelers for a plan B if the auction option doesn't come together.

I think you're probably right, price will be king. I'll be happy just to find one, at any price!
