Title: Translucent PBT Keycaps
Post by: gaelicwarrior on Thu, 12 September 2013, 10:30:29
Hi guys,
I'm looking for translucent PBT caps for my ducky shine. I have the ducky grey and purple set but would really like some white and green translucent sets.
Can anyone advise me if they are available? have been trawling the web for some time now!
Cheers,
GW

Can't find any "pure" PBT translucent. Hope this helps http://www.pimpmykeyboard.com/marketplace.php

Thanks, I've checked out all the links listed in the link thread.
Looking for 101-keycap translucent sets in Green and White like the Ducky Shine Grey & Purple sets.

Can't seem to find any and right now the only way for me to get a white set is to buy a ducky shine II white full keyboard :(

Thanks, I'll check him out.

Any info on green sets would be great. I saw WSAD doing green but not translucent/transparent :(

As far as I can recall at the moment, the only translucent PBT sets around are the ones on the new Deck keyboards...

All others are opaque.

Wait, do you mean translucent as in partially see-through/clear, or do you mean backlight-compatible as in the LEDs shine through the legends?

I can't seem to find out if these are PBTs but this is all I was able to find that came in a full set unless you want to buy each key.

Yes, perhaps 'translucent' is the wrong term. I meant compatible with led backlit keyboards such as the ducky shine.
Where you see the led light through the letter on top of the keycap.

Any green, orange or other colours like this would be appreciated.

The Ducky Shine replacement keycaps on Mechanical Keyboards are the only ones I've consistently seen. They've come in black, white, gray, purple, and pink. I think I've seen sets from some other companies as well, but they are usually either black or white.

The only PBT doubleshots with translucent legend I have seen so far were prototypes...
