So EliteKeyboards is vociferous in proclaiming on its product page that you can't use the HHKB blank keycaps on a Realforce. I understand that a single set wouldn't provide enough keys (because there is no separate function row, etc), but if I bought two sets of blank HHKB keycaps, wouldn't that give me enough to fit every single key on a Realforce 87U? Or are some of the caps different sizes? What's the deal? I basically want to get all-blank black keycaps on an 87U.

You wouldn't have the correct sized right shift
-
What size is the right shift on an HHKB?
-
1.75, I think
-
Makes sense. I hadn't noticed the aberrant right-shift. So I guess it's pretty much impossible to get blank Realforce keycaps at the moment other than the limited selection of wacky colors currently sold by EK?
-
Yeah, right Shift on HHKB 2 is about 1.75x.
A lot narrower than left Shift.

There's a lot of people who rather have the white/gray set than the black/black set of keycaps that came with their black Realforce. Why don't you try listing a trade in the "classifieds" forum?

A fine suggestion, except that I currently have the black/black set and would prefer blanks (either black or the kind of white/grey combo that are available for RF).

The delete/backspace key is smaller too.
