Title: Old typewriters at the London Science Museum
Post by: Photoelectric on Sat, 21 September 2013, 22:48:36
I've just come back from a trip to London, and while there, I had the pleasure of visiting the Science Museum in South Kensington.  It was a lot of fun for many reasons, and it happened to have a collection of various pieces of technology from different eras since the industrial revolution (and before), including some pretty nifty typewriters.

So for anyone curious or enjoying old technology, I thought I'd post some pictures ;)

Cool! My fondest memory of London is going to the science museum. That place is the best.

Yeah, I loved it ;)  I also visited the V&A art museum and the Natural History Museum on the same day, and the Science Museum was definitely my favorite.  The Natural History museum was very morbid...  filled with stuffed animals (not the plush kind).

That's kinda weird seeing an Apple ][ in a museum, seeing as how I sort of learned to program on one.  Makes me feel old.
