As I've been searching for parts for my TrikX two concerns have been at the top of mind:
1. Authenticity of the Part
2. Price of the same.
Searches of GH posts have played an important part in my shopping preferences, but I found a new resource that I want to share with / open up discussion about with the GH community: ECIA (The Electronics Components Industry Association).
I don't know how much more credible an ECIA listing makes a distributor (that's the discussion I'd like to open... I mean is the ECIA as useful for an electronics shopper as the credit bureaus / risk scores are to lenders?) but I did like one thing in particular:
When I went out searching for 120 MXBlacks the ECIA results listed all of the price tiers of ALL of the Authorized Dealers that I had been checking manually: Mouser, OC, Sager, Verical, etc. And better yet... those prices were all correct and current.
Example ECIA Search:

Discuss & Enjoy!

I've run across this site a few times before, but I have to ask, how is it better than octopart?
-
I didn't say it was. But thanks for mentioning octopart.

Awesome find. I will be using one of those links in my future electronics purchases in the future.
