I wouldn't say this is the greatest deal out there but I wanted to bring it to everybody's attention.
They are under $17 with free shipping. I've ordered a pair myself and will update this thread once I get them.

I knew about those before starting my group buy but wanted something a little thicker and Cherry profile.
-
Wow, they have a White also. I think that I'm going to order these.
EDIT: Wait no, those are PBT. There are an 84-set of POM caps that are still in stock.

Agreed! Sign up for dante's group buy instead. :) We need more people!

What is the difference? I think that GH once had a wiki that explains it, but the page is now blank: http://wiki.geekhack.org/index.php?title=Keycap_Basics

Is the Cherry profile different from any other keyboard? My two mechanical keyboards have Cherry keys (PBT Race and Ducky), will these keycaps be a different profile? Again, this information was once on the wiki but it seems gone now.

Those are 50% more expensive _without_ shipping than this deal is _with_ shipping. What is better about dante's keycaps group buy?

They are thicker...
More material -> Higher costs!

Uh I think if you read Dante's post a little closer you will realize the answer is there.

Banggood's POM caps:
- 87 Keys
- OEM Profile (higher than Cherry)
- Can rip out switch stems
Dante's Post POM caps:
- 104 Keys
- Cherry Profile
- Thicker (some say they feel better)
For the price they are a good deal but I only need 87 keycaps because I don't own a fullsize keyboard with MX Switches.

Cherry profile is differnet than the "oem profile" those other keys you have are. Many people (including myself) prefer cherry profile. Another noticeable difference is that the ends of cherry keycaps are pointed, whereas oem and especially SP profile keycaps are rounded.
I have two OEM profile keys on this keyboard right now: capslock and spacebar. I don't use one of those much, but you can easily see and feel the difference in height. it doesn't bother me.
What I want to see is extra POM spacebars be available. You can never have too many POM (or PBT) spacebars.

PBT and POM are different palstics with different properties.
For example, POM is much less hard, much more tough, and has a lower friction coefficient than PBT
Banggood's POM caps:
- 87 Keys
- Can rip out switch stems
Wow, really? I've not had POM do that to me before, as the friction is so low.
-
@dorkvader - it didn't happen to me but someone else out there had bad luck with them pulling out the switch stem. I'm guessing it's due to poor manufacturing or bad plastic molds that don't fit the MX Switch quite right.
-
Just put these on my WASD v2 with clears and tried removing them. First few came off with considerable wiggling. Then sure enough POP , stem pulled out of the fukin switch.
FML t.t

I'm glad I knew about this before I tried putting them on a board. I'll be tweaking them a bit before I put them on. I'm hoping I can just heat them up a bit and put them on a stand alone switch.
To bad it's to late to cancel the order. But, if you look on the bright side maybe that's a good way to replace some stems without desoldering.

Other people have suggested potentially putting a bit of lube in the cap before you put them on to help with the super tight fit...
Will try that when my pbt caps come from them to see if it helps...
