It seems that there are a lot of people buying 'boards from the japanese suppliers on a regular basis, with even higher interest now that Filco will have an ALPS based product. I remember a post I believe by iMav that the price for two boards would have a significant discount.
What about ten boards? Why don't we pool together, used a trusted individual to handle the transaction (iMav would you be willing?) and try to get a really good rate on some keyboards? If I knew I'd be getting a 20% discount, I'd probably jump in and buy two or three myself. Plus, as there would be only one international bank transfer, which is often up to 25% of the full transaction. It may be interesting to make a single purchase with two deliveries - one to the States, one to Europe.
Doing this, a board which cost $175 to get delivered from Japan may be between $100-120 I think.
Anyone interested?

If we're talking about the Filco tenkeyless with white Alps, I'm in.

though I'm not interested in the filco alps board, I would definitely be interested in other boards. but honestly, I think "volume" means more on the order of 50-100 boards...

I know cherry discounts start at 10, don't think its much though.

Well, if we each buy a keyboard by ourselves, we are looking at 25 to 45USD charges for bank transfers, such as here: http://geekhack.org/showpost.php?p=13672&postcount=17
Also, would the shipping charges be lower per piece if we were ordering 10 or 15 together?

I'd be in for 1 or 2 of the FKBN87Z/EB.
