I used to have one like the german one that was linked. The base on mine was more of a brown than a black, and if I remember right, yellow buttons.

really awesome things. But you guys are collecting, right? I can't imagine anybody actually using a corded phone nowadays if there are no extra features like  speakerphone or caller id to make it worth while to get a land line.
