Title: Cherry mx browns feeling different on different boards?
Post by: C5Allroad on Sat, 12 October 2013, 11:17:22: I went to bestbuy to buy a mouse mat and station cash for planet side 2. I happen to pass by Logitech "gaming" peripherals. I took advantage and started typing, it almost felt like my reds... Is that normal? Or just the quality of construction on the boards.

I think they work better with some switches. I have stock Clears with thin PBTs and stock Clears on a Ducky with Shine caps, and I prefer them on the Ducky.

Generally not.

A switch might feel different due to different plate thickness, case material, case thickness, plate vs. PCB mount and so on.

If you extract one switch from each keyboard (switches of the same type) you would probably find that they were pretty much identical.
