Title: PSA: QuickFire Rapids with black cases now available

PSA: I just saw QFR's on some local store shelves with the non-branded black coating. ( which was previously only on the stealth versions )

its rumored that is shares the newer coating that the XT has. ( more durable compound )

Just letting everyone know.

I ordered a quickfire rapid (blue) after the nice people here suggested it, and thought I was ordering the silver case kind (the website even showed that as the picture) but i got a black case quickfire rapid. It looks great though.

My qfr with cherry mx greens had the "less branded" black case. I believe the newer ones in red switches do to as of several months ago. This was before the stealth came out.

my local frys has mx blue QFR's with both black and grey cases. Maybe its not new, but i've never seen them before
