Does anyone know what switches these have? This (http://www.macstore.co.uk/product/?pid=2007) shop says it has "Quiet soft touch with tactile feedback Keyswitch control" just like this auction (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=270180046347) for the Macally MK-96.

Membrane. I had one, and it sucked. I threw it in the garbage the second day I owned it.

Thanks. :) It's funny that We Love Macs have that quote in their auction when ALPS are so loud. I wonder if anyone has complained.

I bought it off eBay from a guy, not a store. I took a chance because I thought it would be a AEKII clone. No dice.

@xsphat: Are you sure that the MK-105 does not have the same white alps as the MK-96? The official Macally pages for both say "Quiet soft touch with tactile feedback Keyswitch control."
MK-105 official page (http://www.macally.com/EN/product/ArticleShow.asp?ArticleID=73)
MK-96 official page (http://www.macally.com/EN/product/ArticleShow.asp?ArticleID=74)

actually, the key caps do look different. The MK-105 caps are slimmer, likely indicating membrane.
Macally needs to be more clear on their web pages. :)

As I said, I owned one. I'm positive that my Macally 105 extended keyboard had membrane and rubber dome switching and felt worse than an HHKB Lite 2.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like I wasn't trusting your eyes or expertise. I was just double-checking to see if perhaps you owned a different Macally model or something like that.
Thanks xsphat!

It is funny the ad copy says the MK96 is quiet — that keyboard is louder than an airport.
