A rare keycap set, to state it correctly. I paid $220 for my set of these, but that was over a year ago.

As someone fortunate to have purchased one of the original Red Alert sets, I'm really interested in how they are appreciating.
They are lovely keys.

Oh wow I wish I had the same budget as you! :thumb:

hehheh
wonder if fohat is seeing this.
The Model Fs he worked so hard on are valued at substantially less than these keycaps.

I'd go with "rare" actually. Thanks to fake alert and klaxon sets. Only difference is the mods and hand caps. That anybody can do at any time.

Yep. AND, IIRC, TJ tried to get the 7bit legends when he did Klaxon, but was denied to maintain the rarity.
-
So out of curiosity...what IS the difference between klaxon/RA and these anyways? Just the fact that the Korean one is the first? Any difference in quality/thickness etc?
-

We are dangerously close to being OT here, but anyway.
IIRC, I was the first to suggest asking about getting those legends with Klaxon, and one of the strongest supporters of it, even though it likely would have devalued the set I had already bought.
-
Not OT at all. Best that the origins and differences in those sets are noted for potential buyers.
Oh... and OP is great to deal with, btw.

It's okay. OP has me blocked; he can't see my posts anyway, right?

Oh, so you can see them! And mad? Not at all. I'm not the one who blocked another person.
You went out of your way to find out my name? Aw, shucks... :-[

Wow, Nice.

But anybody can make and pay for them right? I doubt 7bit or the koreans have exclusive rights to a stupid arrow. Sure nobody will do it because they dont want to step on any toes but the fact people are purposely making it rare is ****ing retarded.

Bid 160 on 1

Would you consider any trades for that retro set?

Just to make sure, is the Korean Rebel Red Alert a completed keyset as all they originally had for the group buy?
-
Yes, there are no missing keys. I'll also include that CMA and Fire key, which are the same profile as the spacebar.
-
Yeah, the original RA 2.0 was everything in one set. There were something like 170 keys, or something crazy like that. Then there was 2.1 set with about 20 extra keys.

Actually, it was more people in the buy not wanting 7bit legends than any kind of block. 7bit had already "given" permission to use them
