Title: IBM RGB keys?
Post by: Shadovved on Sun, 20 October 2013, 04:56:28
It issnt frequent I get to ask a noob question :p

I'll like to know whether the IBM RGB printed keys are dyesubbed...... cos they seem slicker and smoother than my stock Model M keys

Thanks bros ;D for indulging me in a moment of noobness :thumb:

Unicomp keys are decidedly different. Probably a different plastic compound, because the equipment is the same.

You can dye keys pretty successfully.

Mine are holding up pretty well after half a year of use, but you can start to see where my fingers usually hit, if the light is right.

Don't fret, accept what you can get. Your choices for IBM caps are extremely limited compared to Cherry.

A shame, a disgrace that is.

Better than my Filco I guess.......it feels slicky like every month, only takes a bubble bath to get rid of it  :-X

We need more Topre and more BS keycaps, customs and complete sets, in general.

And if they do wear out (eventually), at least you can get some more.

There is not even RGB for Topre, unless you buy a complete set of each colour and just use the modifiers.
