Title: poker 2 plate question
Post by: debt4lyfe on Sun, 20 October 2013, 09:44:34
Can someone confirm if the poker 2 plate allows switch top removal without desoldering? I've looked around but couldn't find any firm answers.

Can't do any switch top removal on a plate mount board.

Except you can if it has a special plate that allows it. OEM plates never allow it

That's interesting and I would like to see pics of the various plates. I'm pretty sure pics have already been posted but searching the forum is really difficult.

Regular switch holes - 14x14mm squares : http://i.imgur.com/Y5BSx7L.png
Custom switch holes that allow switch top removal - 14x14mm squares with tabs on the side : http://i.imgur.com/GJme4MW.png

There are other variants too.. but that's a common one.
