Can someone confirm if the poker 2 plate allows switch top removal without desoldering? I've looked around but couldn't find any firm answers.

Except you can if it has a special plate that allows it. OEM plates never allow it

That's interesting and I would like to see pics of the various plates. I'm pretty sure pics have already been posted but searching the forum is really difficult.

Custom switch holes that allow switch top removal - 14x14mm squares with tabs on the side : http://i.imgur.com/GJme4MW.png
There are other variants too.. but that's a common one.
