Title: IBM Beamspring (you know, those holy grail ones) - 3hrs left
Post by: BlueBär on Sun, 27 October 2013, 12:16:26
I found this when it just got put on ebay, I'm surprised nobody bid on it yet. It is too nice to disappear unnoticed. 3 hours left.

IBM 3278 (http://www.ebay.de/itm/IBM-Tastatur-Clicky-fur-ein-Datensichtgerat-IBM-3278-aus-dem-Jahre-1978-NOS/190940111173?_trksid=p2045573.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D15814%26meid%3D2282650599547834195%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D7513%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D281191950431%26)

Truly lovely. Looks in superb condition. And it cost only 5.90EU to post within Germany! Really, as they say, things are cheap in Germany.

But considering it's a beam spring, it probably weights 1/10 of a ton and costs 500 Euros to ship abroad...

They say things are cheap in Germany? Never heard that :blank:
However, USPS always seems to be more expensive than DHL/German postal service.

I have no idea how big they are but if you give me an approximate weight I could tell you the shipping costs. Found a site that said 10kg, if they are correct shipping to U.S. would cost about 60$.

That's true. If you ship heavy things to international by USPS, it is much more expensive than DHL/UPS
