Why not give some examples of possible polls, so they see you have a good use for them!!

I'm thinking they reenabled them for everyone except for you...

I do not see a poll option either.

I am guessing that it only works for new threads that I create?

Are there any other conditions, like you can only create a poll before someone else posts in the thread?

Boards where I can see New Poll allowed:

Classifieds

That's it, and I just looked at all of them.

Aha!

I can see a "ADD POLL" button in a thread I created in classifieds.

So maybe polls are limited to classifieds?

Which seems a strange place to have polls.

microsoft windows: can you see the add poll button in one of your classifieds threads?

Interesting thought there...I just went and checked. But it turns out that the poll button is not there! This problem needs to be fixed.

It's not a "problem", it's definitely intentional. Considering your past poll topics, I doubt they'll ever re-enable polls. And if they do, it won't be for you...

Whether it's intentional or not, it's still a problem and needs to be fixed.

I've already got over 40 wonderful examples in my topic history if anybody would like to dig through someday.

When I get some free time I'll check it out...

Also this would make a good poll topic

^^ does your dell laptop smell like cat urine? Yes or No.

You are completely disregarding my logic.

It's not a problem BECAUSE it is intentional. If it wasn't intentional, then it would be a problem.

It's only a problem for you, not for the rest of us who can survive without polls.

The admins are afraid that you will resort back to creating polls such this:

They banned them, so apparently they are.

I loved them though, loads of fun!

And MW, maybe you should just give up on this, you've been trying for over a year now with no success:

I would like a poll to see if it's a good idea to have age restricted topics....we don't want to corrupt the youth......they already have some very strong opinions ;)

Age is irrelevant. There should be a mandatory maturity test in order to register on Geekhack. Stop all the haters before they even register.

I don't want to see kids encouraged to do illegal things or anything....

But a common sense test would be a good idea as well!

Why not make a poll about it?

Oh, wait a second, I forgot, I CAN'T because of this STUPID PROBLEM!

Your lack of logic is really quite annoying...

They are NEVER going to re-enable polls. Your desperate attempts to get them to do so is just giving them more reason to ignore/refuse your requests.

Exalted. But they're both irrelevant to elder-ness, MW and I have both been here for about the same amount of time, but he posts more irrelevant things...

What do you mean? Are you saying that 'Climate Change: Fact or Fiction?' or 'Post your tires?' are not relevant topics here? :P
