Sweet!

Early model, most likely heavy plate, metal badge, this would be one to have for the collection.

I am not interested, but if I were, I would put in a snipe at about $200-225 and not fret if I missed it.

Why is the metal badge silver?

I thought they came only in black?

Early models such as 1390120 and 1390131 had square aluminum badges on the right. 1391401 and later had oval plastic labels on the left.

It's crazy that Clickykeyboards requests a crapload $$$ of money for the 1390120 and yet they sit unwanted on Ebay.

I guess elbow grease at $50/hr pays off!

Hm, okay. I bought a near mint black square label on the right just the other day, I'll take a look at the model/year when it comes in :)

I think only the older industrials (1986 and ofcourse 1985) have the black badge. This is a little later model at 1988.
Many (all?) of the 1388032 industrials have black labels, and all the pictures of 1390653 industrials have silver ones.

The 1390653 badge may be either black or silver.
Webwit shows one of each in his photo essay on deskthority:

I can confirm this. I really love my 131, more so than the newer model M's I've had in the past.
