I have seen something similar in one of the electronic typewriters, looks similar to cherry, but the stems are slightly smaller & thinner. The backplate was rivetted and there was plastic/mylar underneath that. I assumed it was some sort of spring/dome underneath.

Does it feel clicky/tactile but not mushy? Then may be mechanical.

My 2 cents.

Ascaii has a keyboard (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=38676.msg750974#msg750974) from the same maker (Preh) with switches that look similar, but where the sliders are white.
It is slider over rubber dome.

Rubber dome. Disappointing.

Thanks, by the way.
