Dell. End of story.
Dell. End of story.
Not right now... the 3012 is disappointing.. many problems.. rev a03 is no where in sight..
the 27" dell is alright... but honestly it's quite laggy..
A few years ago I sucked it up and plopped down the cash for a HP ZR2740w. With as much time as I spend at the computer, it has been amazing. I look at 1080p panels now, and don't know how I would live without the space.
waiting for 4k monitors (not TVs) to become more prevalent so the prices will be comparable to current 1600p monitors

le doosh why did your remove the keyboard for the picture!

Don't buy 1440 at this point... you can get a 39" 4k tv for $700... why not...
OR wait for a PROPER 4k monitor.. probably around $5000
I really don't want a large screen size lol. It's cool for being on the couch and watching a movie but when I'm doing detail-oriented graphic design work it just makes me fatigued. So hopefully we get good Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals this year?Show Image(http://media1.break.com/dnet/media/2008/11/77%20Huge%20Computer%20Monitor.jpg)

DO NOT buy ANY monoprice monitor... BAD.....
Save up... for the good stuff.. this is something you're going to use for years-and-years-and-years....
ZR30w is my favorite among all the 30"
ZR27w is also a solid buy.
Currently on a 27" 1440p Crossover monitor from South Korea. Bought it off of ebay for ~$400 with free shipping. No complaints whatsoever. You'll never want to go back to 1080pShow Image(http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7283/9265453391_ff705f53e3_b.jpg)
Yay another thread for me to fanboy the Qnix Evolution II

You can buy yourself something way more worth the money for 5K, you cray cray person.
Looks like a typo, but if you're serious:

It's more like 3k but still, it was 5k not too long ago, and 20k not too long before that.le doosh why did your remove the keyboard for the picture!

meh, if your computer systems around 2k, you're using keyboards that cost 400, why would a 1st gen $5k 4k res monitor be outrageous?
Clearly you have the disposable income
I mean i bought my U2711 for $800 bucks, people may say im crazy for using a $800 dollar monitor.
Heck people in my life find me crazy for using a $200 dollar keyboard, then spending $$ on keycaps lol

If you have that much disposable income (which most people don't), I'd still say no, unless you're super-eyed and are sexually pleasured by pretty pictures.
There's a VESA mount on the Qnix. The base of the stand is stuck on the monitor and you have to crack the monitor open to remove it but if you have it mounted to a monitor arm honestly no one will notice the stub on the back because it's hidden behind the bezel on the back of the monitor.
I actually had no idea that they sell it at newegg now, but their pricing is too expensive when very reliable sellers on Ebay are still offering their great prices on the Qnix. Greensum has it for $300 right now shipped with their infamous 2-day expedited shipping. But yeah, they're OC-able PLS panels with great color for cheap as hell. You could get 3 for the price of a ZR30w on Newegg right now, maybe even a triple monitor stand for them as well.

people buy supercars/luxury cars that i scratch my head at, but who am i to judge.

So is there a 30" Qnix monitor on ebay? I couldn't find it. $300 sounds too good to be true, and definitely worth checking out!
I may have to go with newegg though in case I need to return.
That's some useful info right there. Thanks much!
I was seriously considering getting a qnix monitor on eBay til I saw this deal today...
39" 4k LED TV for $550 (Link (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8430969&CatId=8893&SRCCODE=LINKSHARE&cm_mmc_o=-ddCjC1bELltzywCjC-d2CjCdwwp&utm_source=Linkshare&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=WxHRncoD05Y&AffiliateID=WxHRncoD05Y-.DKIEpk35NRSmRUIoS8EJg))
That's a res of 3840 x 2160!
Guess a 4k monitor is not so far off!! I oughta save up for new gpu(s) instead so I can run at that res, mwahaha.
No, it is higher than 30hz, but HDMI's current limitation is that it only has the bandwidth to run 4k at 30hz. Some 4k screens can use two hdmi cables to get the full 60hz over hdmi. That's some useful info right there. Thanks much!
