not a stunning find, but looks like a decent deal

Looks about as cheap as you can get on eBay at present. Going to need a lot of cleaning though.
-
Does not include cable, has one piece buttons, and is dirty with dried-liquid stains. Definitely not worth it, fohat. This looks worse than any Model F I’ve seen, and it isn’t even made in the 1980s.

It says one piece under the cap... Not sure what that means...

For me it would be $43.6 shipped which is pretty cheap. I have cables but serious users probably want orihalcon cables anyway.
The description says one-piece gray buttons under caps which is typical. And they are all there, which is great.
I don't even think about dirt because I thoroughly clean every used keyboard I buy, inside and out, as soon as I get it. That is the easiest part.
Where do you get clean Model Fs? The dirt level on this is "about average" for an ebay Model F, from what I have seen.
Although they don't have the heavy plates, I like 1990-91 era 1391401s pretty well.

Most of my F's are relatively clean as they were only lightly used, but I have a lot of atypical model F's.
Anyway, I'd say it's a good enough deal. Most of the dirt on the keycaps looks like it'll come off without too much trouble. Just remember to take a before and after picture to really see the difference.
Also, if it's from 1990, then it's probably from before the lexmark thinner plates started happening. Though it won't have the wire stabilizers.
He's also the seller of the NIB focus, so maybe he'll combine shipping with that. I also notice he has a BAT infogrip and a pinnacle keyboard (lots of Cherry MX blacks) The pinnacle also appears to have a decent plate you can add to a poker or something. Plus the keycaps look nice enough....

Please buy this so I won't.

Ok. I really, really want that Pinnacle! Over $100 to ship to the UK though. :D

Is it just me or does it look wet in the one picture showing the close up of the upper left keys?
That said, right now M's and F's are climbing in price. I'm seeing more and more where people are wanting a hundred for them. Far cry from not that long ago.

This.
I managed to get one on ebay last week for $50, as new condition, in box (assuming it actually arrives, lol). The usual price for any model M in Australia is from $70 to $120 plus postage :(

LOL that's the worst $122.35 shipping I have seen

$100 International Shipping

It looks like it just needs some TLC and it'd look good as new. It's just dirt and grime. Whoop-de-do. It's the ones with deep scratches or cracks I don't want. This one's untested, though.
