Title: STOLEN GOODS ALERT - COD Ghosts
Post by: kishy on Thu, 07 November 2013, 12:44:26
Mods may move as appropriate, but this seems like a reasonable place because of relevance:

If you see a "too good to be true" type deal on COD: Ghosts, particularly if it's shipping from Southern Ontario, Michigan or possibly Ohio, consider the following:
http://www.gamespot.com/articles/canadian-game-store-robbed-of-150-call-of-duty-ghosts-copies/1100-6416007/

The same applies to other current gen games for any platform from this region, as that was not the only game stolen in mass quantity.

This is a local independent business and I'm sure any leads in the direction of turning in the responsible people would be appreciated.

One day I may buy a copy of COD to see what the appeal is. Most likely I won't like it since I'm outside of the demographic that plays it.

torrent... or just watch the youtube gameplay review??

You must be outside the demographic, if you're willing to BUY a copy of a game just to find out if you'd play it...

All the new-kids  just go download the full copy and play it... and if they don't like it they don't buy it, because NO ONE plays the single player campaign..

Multi-player or bust...

multiplayer server account authentication is the only reason to buy a legit key
if you want to try the game most people torrent it :(

Yea, I'd try it for the multiplayer so torrenting wouldn't be possible... but at $60 and at the rate they're making them (seems like there's always a new version) it's hard to pull the trigger. Rather save my money for an Elder Scrolls game or similar with much more content/replayability.
