Title: New Ducky - Squeaky Spacebar
Post by: BucklingSpring on Mon, 11 November 2013, 18:38:43
Hi Guys,

[attach=1]

How do you lube this thing?
I just tried to inject some Jig-A-Loo under the stabilizer stems near the wire. The squeaking is gone for now.

I dont think its possible. You have to remove the pcb to lube it

Uh no. You can drop a bit of lube where the stabilizer clips into the stabilizer body. That is visible from the top.

That's a plate mounted cherry stabilizer.

Desolder the switch and remove it.  You will then be able to remove the stabilizer through the slot. :thumb:

Pardon the quality.

Euh... Thanks but no :-)

I can clearly see from your pic that the bar is hold at the extremities. Gentle spray there from the top will deliver enough lubricant to resolve the problem. Which I did and so far so good.

But thanks for the detailed brain surgery protocol :-)
