Hey folks!
I finally pulled the trigger and bought me a used G80-1800 for about 10bucks :thumb:
Now I´m in search for replacement keycaps (ANSI) for the letter keys and probably the number row in blank.
Have read that the lower letter row is somehow unique, is that true?
I want to replace the letters and probably numbers to fiddke around with dvorak and because I have to switch between ISO and german regularly. Of cause I don´t want to spend 10x the cost of the kb itself. I´m unable to get my head around taobao and banggood seems to be - not trustworthy.
I would appreciate any suggestions.

Gonna be hard , since the layout is a bit weird

*sigh*
Is it just that the keys of the lower row are shaped differently?

Standard layout would look something like this

Thanks for your reply.
I suppose my openingpost was somehow misleading. I would like to switch the letter keys to blank ones so the original layout is secondary to me. Just need enough blank keys in the right shape for the rows 2-4 without modifiers.
Did I miss your point?

The only thing you have to think about when changing the alphas is the profile of the keys. The keys on that keyboard are cherry profile.

Thanks ahab :thumb:
So the question remains, where to get cheap blank cherry "alphas"?
Shipping to germany :)
Would this fit: DSA PBT Blank Sets

This pdf explaining the layout suggests that I could user "row 4" 1-space keys to use them as modifiers in the lower row, is this correct?
