I've been using Topre for a while now. I fell in love with the RealForce 87u, and then moreso with the Leopold FC660C. )Some of you might have seen my post http://www.bytecellar.com/2013/05/21/regarding-keyboards-and-a-new-favorite-the-leopold-fc660c/ .)
Anyway, I am a tenkeyless buy, but a friend is looking to try Topre for the first time and wants a 101 board. To me, the FC660C feels better than my 87u, and from all I hear, the HHK2P feels better still (though, I need cursor keys). Given that Topre, like other switches, have different feels in different boards, is there a consensus as to what is the best feeling 101-key Topre board? I know there are some new ones out there in the past year.
Thanks.

Well basically you have either the Realforce 104U or the Type Heaven. The Type Heaven is cheaper.

Are there strong opinions of which feels better? There certainly are as re: the HHK2P vs. RealForce 87U, for instance.
Thanks. Anyone?

I think the Realforce (made in Japan) is generally regarded as higher quality than the Type Heaven (made in China), although I'm not sure how much hard data there is on that.

Good old real Realforce 101?
Anyway, I can swear variable weighted FTW!
EDIT: RF101 feeled better than HHKB to me at least. I transplanted variable weighted domes from RF101 to HHKB. Now my HHKB feels better :D
