Title: [WTB] 4 to 8 linear MX stems
Post by: McWilloughby on Wed, 20 November 2013, 16:35:03
Hi there, I'm looking to swap out the stems of a few of the keys (at least WASD, maybe a few others) on my G80 (clears) with some linear to see if it makes it any nicer to play games on without making typing feel weird. Is there anyone out there that can oblige me or would I be better off just buying a few linear switches and taking the stems out?

Forgot to add, I'm based in the UK.

Would you rather have Red or Black?

Am I right in thinking that red switches are the same as black besides the weight of the spring? Either way, whichever type you'd be more willing to part with is fine with me.

Yes, Red and Black stems are the same.

Technically, the Reds are a bit more expensive, but $1.50 is negligible to me. You make the choice, and whichever you want most is yours.

I'll go with blacks. Thanks :)

Okay. So how this is going to have to work to save on cost is the switches are coming to me first (free shipping). I already placed the order. Then, once I receive them, I'll forward them on to you. I hope you enjoy.

I've got loads of these you can have for free if you want mate (well up to a point) and I'm in the UK which would make shipping easy (free really)  - would that be better than esoomenona sending them to you?  Isn't he in the US?

I am in the US. But he's getting them for free from me anyway. The only thing is time. I did this because no one was helping him out. I mean, send him some if you will. I'm sure I can cancel my order.

I am happy to pay for them but many thanks esoomenona. I guess it would make more sense for GeorgeK to send some shipping-wise however, should I PM you my details George? Apologies for the trouble moose.

Hey - I didn't realise esoomenona had actually bought switches for you.  If he can cancel the order them I'm happy to do this - if not I wouldn't want to mess him around.  I would have offered earlier but totally missed the thread...
