This may be the best thing I have ever watched on YouTube. If you are against the United State's war on drugs, I would advise watching this. It is ****ing hilarious yet makes a very valid point.

"War on Drugs"
"War on Terror"
It is truly bizarre to "declare war" on inanimate objects and concepts.
Perhaps someone wants to be "against" something - fair enough - but a "declaration of war" is a very specific and clearly defined legal action.

War on Drugs -> Police state
War on Terror -> Surveillance state
"Rise of the Warrior Cop" by Radley Balco (Hope I spelled that right)

All the more proof that our government is run by a bunch of dumbasses...
But seriously, this video... if you don't have the time to watch it, jump to 1:13:00. "Lincoln" makes a very good point...

I don't know how this has much to do with the American war on drugs..
But I think the drugs-issue is a non-issue..
If long-term use demonstrates debilitating problems.. the non-users will have a distinct and clear advantage.
Such is the case with tabacco.. non-smokers statistically earn more, live longer, etc...
So, over time.. the problem will solve itself.. people who have aspirations that demand less disruption in life-style would choose to not do-drugs..
Those who wish to fill less-intense roles in society can use drugs without ill-effect in performance since their task will be simpler..
Minor tweaks to the insurance system and we're done.

It's not a bunch of dumb-asses..(http://www.cute-factor.com/images/smilies/onion_custom/th_aji.gif)
It's a collection of educated people who "together" become indecisive and dumb, due to ineffective political play system. (prisoner's dilemma)

So, over time.. the problem will solve itself..
Dumbest thing I've read today. How long is that whole alcoholism thing going to take to solve itself? 5000 years and counting...

the majority of people are not alcoholics....
There's no problem with sporadic usage.. (http://www.cute-factor.com/images/smilies/onion/f529a952.gif)

Did any of you actually watch at least part of this video? I think it speaks for itself, much more than I could put into words...

I would comment that regardless of legislation and enforcement of that legislation there will always be drug abusers. Whether the user is partaking in alcohol, heroine, or adrenaline rushes. It has become abundantly clear the the War on Drugs, both in the United States and elsewhere, has been a cataclysmic failure on every measure. Drug use is up across the board, recidivism is something like 66%, the cost is $88 billion a year, and that's not including the countless negative consequences directly associated with the War on Drugs.
So would I say that we have a drug problem? Sure, but believing that legislating against drug use will solve our problems is mislead and factually inaccurate. That's just the utilitarian point of view. I think it's morally wrong as well.
Anyways, just my two cents.
PS: Video was funny, I watched!

I miss WKUK, it was an amazing 5 seasons :(

yep.

You and your amazon pot haha
Yeah noisy, this doesn't apply to you! Your state already legalized it! (you lucky ****).
Meanwhile, I have to wait until:
- My state legalizes it (unlikely)
- The feds legalize it (more unlikely)
- I turn 21 and take a road trip to Portland, Maine (which means I have to wait a full year or get a fake ID)

Not for the road trip, but to purchase the weed stuff one must be 21 (hence the fake ID comment).

The part where Grant drank his own vomit was f'n great. On a serious note, if America wanted to have a dumb war, it should be war on stupidity and gluttony, it kills a lot more people and hurts us much more as a society than the weed stuff- but then we would only have a few thousand people not incarcerated.
