Title: What switches in the Acorn Archimedes A300/A400 keyboards?
Post by: bhtooefr on Fri, 16 January 2009, 10:19:50
I'm considering trying to import one (the whole machine except for the monitor (I found out that I can adapt one of my IIGS monitors to it,)) and if I can adapt a PS/2 keyboard to it, that'll save some shipping costs. (I don't know if I can or not.)

But, if the keyboard's worth it...

So, what switches? Rubber dome? Alps? Cherry?

They look like capacitive switches:

I don't know. The BBC Micro has mechanical switches:

Well, apparently you can't use a PS/2 keyboard anyway, so it's a moot point. (You apparently CAN use an adapter to use a PS/2 mouse, though.)
