Not sure who actually takes care of the website, so I figured I would just ask this here...
I have a 4 month old son, so I spend a lot of time browsing GH on a smartphone with one hand. One thing that gets pretty annoying is the fact that I have to zoom all the time to click on things (cause they are so tiny on a phone). This is hard when I only have one hand...
I am wondering. If I was to develop a mobile css file to make some of the buttons more functional on a mobile, would that be useful for anyone else? Also, if I was to do this, would someone be able to add a stylesheet to the website after the core css.
eg: <link rel="stylesheet" href="mobile_theme.css" media="handheld, only screen and (max-device-width:768px)"/> [ref (http://alistapart.com/article/return-of-the-mobile-stylesheet)]
I just want check interest and feasibility to implement this before I spend any time actually developing the css for it.

Never heard of that. Will have to look into it. Thx...

I tried Tapatalk for a while, but I don't like it. I too access this site mostly from a mobile platform, and I would appreciate a mobile version. Maybe rknize could help you implement such a change, Swill.

I use Tapatalk all the time and it's perfect. And one good thing about Tapatalk is that you can set the font sizes. Good for phones, really and it has dark mode, which means you can read while you rock the baby to sleep and well, spend more money. After all, GH is WH.

Maybe I was doing something wrong. I would miss PMs all the time, because Tapatalk would mark them as already read, and not send me any notification of them.
-
When you say notification, do you mean iOS notification .. as far as I know, Tapatalk does not mark all as read. You need to punch that button to mark all as read. And if you have PM, there is a menu item that will have a red badge on number of PMs received. I hope the behavior is the same as the Android version, which I have not have the experience to use.
The other best thing about Tapatalk is that tapping the thread will always bring you the last unread post in the thread, so you don't need to scroll and zoom in and such.

The newest tapatalk (Android) is much better about notifications.
I still have issues with posting images and random crashing but not nearly as much as before.
I'm on tapatalk, when I'm not at work, 95% of the time.

On it now. So far it is an improvement from trying to do this with the default GH theme. Thx for the suggestion.
I am still willing to do a basic mobile CSS improvement if there is interest for it.

I'm using it right now. It's better than nothing for sure.

I'm still using tapatalk 1!! I just always say no when it prompts me to upgrade to v2. I should make the switch tho.... Only a matter of time before I have to...
