Anyone know why this shows up as an unrecognised device under Vista?
The PS2 version seems to work fine.
-
Have you tried it in a different USB port?
Is it the board I sent to you? Has it just been delivered, because perhaps it has condensation that's freaking it out, from being out in the cold to a warm house. If you can't get it to work I'll refund your Paypal payment.

Ive tried a few ports. No luck yet.
Did you have it working in Vista at all ?
This is all I seem to get :(
I'm sure its not your fault though so don't worry.

Just connected my G84-4100PTMDE to Vista 64. No problems, recognized immediately.
I wonder why mine has a different switch code than your's (T vs C) and why it has the M connector code while being USB.

Cheers Lowpoly. I'm running 64 too so not sure what's happened here.
The das and other usb keyboards seem to work fine.

when I plug it in it the lights flash a few times then this pops up a few times.

I had it working in Vista 32-bit on a Dell Dimension E521 (a system known to have very finnicky USB support).
Do you have another system that you can try it on?
-
I can try it on the 360 good idea.

Its working fine on the 360.
Now I need to work out whats up with my PC!

When I connect my HHKB to my laptop I get the same symbol in the taskbar. Different error though, it says voltage overflow or something like that. I then can reset the usb connection and everything works fine. This is only on my laptop though and I blame the laptop. Not the HHKB. My project board works fine on the same port.
Maybe try it on a different machine?
Edit: Too late :)

It wont even work in my bios so it must be a compatibility issue with my motherboard.
Not to worry.
My friend Laura will like it.

It should work with USB 1.x controllers, but have you checked that USB 2.0 support is enabled on your motherboard? If you only have the one root hub appearing I would suspect that USB 2.0 is disabled, but I might be wrong.
Does it make any difference if the keyboard is connected when the system boots versus only connecting it when the computer is already running?
-
No no different. Also I have 2.0 and legacy enabled in the bios.
Its an Asus Crosshair motherboard.
