Hi everyone,
I believe I'm getting scammed via paypal after having sold a Geekhack member something. I want to talk to an admin, I think.... What do you guys recommend I do?
Thanks!

Are you sure you paid?

Damn another case of extortion

1) Conflict resolution: CAVEAT EMPTOR. Moderators will not step in to mediate transactions gone bad.
Mod's can't help you.
If you have actually been scammed, and not done something daft, like just sent some money somewhere then provide some evidence maybe?
-
The best thing to do, is namedrop them, and slowly leak evidence. That usually works.
-
He sent me money, and now he is 'disputing' it with paypal because he 'never received' the item. He clearly has, I have tracking.
-
Do you have their email address ?
-
Double check tracking vs. PayPal address.
Sort everything out with PayPal, then warning the community is probably a useful move.

As long as the item was paid as goods and you have tracking that shows delivery to the confirmed paypal address you should be ok.

Have you taken all the necessary steps with paypal?
And kmiller's way is the way it usually goes down here.
-
I do now, the one they use via paypal.... It seems like a scam because their name is NOT coming up either.
-
Was it a brand new user or something?
-
This is why you never send international boys. GG to me, think I lost this one. I sent like an idiot.
-
No he is not a new user, I'm probably more new than he is. He wins this one, i guess.

why don't you call him out on it?
-
It would be too premature at this point. I have just raised the dispute to USPS and Paypal.
-
Do you have their email address ?
such a dangerous question to ask someone who is aggravated!
-
I'm not sure why you;re saying you've lost. As long as you have proof of postage (tracking) paypal will always side with you.

I'm a noob and I'm scared because it's international and worried they won't side wit me :(
I have the receipt still too.
-
Yes they will.

Did you tracking number follow the item all the way to its destination?

i use this a lot of times
http://www.track-trace.com/post
and even if it picks USPS to start with you can go and pick the destination country and see if it tracks there as well. If you need help shoot me a pm.

Wow that works really well. It routed me to a separate site which let me track using the Chinese EMS Site. Thanks sir!

What a cyber bully

Wait wut happened here exactly?
audukent sent something to somebody in China and got paid? Is that right?
But the Chinese mystery buyer said he did not receive the item?
But the tracking shows it was delivered to the correct address? Do we know that?
So what exactly is the problem? Either I don't understand or something hinky is happening here with the seller.
