Swype. I bought it when it was $0.99
I've found I like it best among the android keyboards.

When I had a transformer prime, I rooted it and I only bought the apps that I wanted to support the developer of! On my iPhone though I pay for a ton. It was jailbroken and same thing went, donated or bought apps which I felt the developer should get some funds :)

This is a good policy...

I haven't found any such apps that I use enough to qualify..

That only mahjong app I use is f2p

The newer built-in one is nice!

And I've paid for plenty of $0.99 apps, especially if its something I really enjoy and/or use a lot.

I realize everyone's always like, "i'm a pirate...arghhhh.....why you noob scallywag pay for dis!" But my view is if I actually like/use something it's worth paying a small amount for, same goes with windows apps etc.

I didn't know you could get apps pirate-ly (easily) never bothered to look into it really. My phone is too small to play games on now, eyes are too bad :(

^^ This. I use a few. Root Explorer, Realcalc Plus, Neutron MP are ones I can think of off the top of my head. Apps that either give functionality you can't get from free ones or things I use a lot every day and want to function really well.

It did/does. The thing that made me spring for it was the ability to backup my dictionary. At the time I first was using it that wasn't a built in feature. So I paid really for the cloud sync. The only thing I can remember that was different/better than the pre-loaded version. If dictionary backup is built into the free version now I didn't know.
All in all I've found it very much worth all 99 cents.

It's so stupidly easy... completely n00b proof.. and 0 risk of screwing up your phone...

This is probably why android is much more popular vs iOS... free apps essentially.

i paid for Tapatalk, also paid for the slingplayer app since my old version wouldn't work with my new slingplayer 350.  And the new app i found does a g-play check that renders it useless, so i broke down and bought it for $15.

Long time back I've decided to always pay for things I enjoy and would like to see more - music, books, apps, whatever.  I mean don't you want your favourite band/author to create more good stuff?  Changing the world one purchase at a time.

Guys .apk?

yea... .apk    To "arrrg... " on the iphone is like ridiculously Hard...

To "arrrg... " on the android is like  2 mins of waiting for the dl to finish, and copy-paste.. done..

I honestly can't believe they made it that easy...

I suppose they did lock out adblock, so now I have to use firefox... but at least I can get adblock somewhere....

some apps cross check your google play account for verification
Slingplayer is one of them
I used the apk i found b4, but since the latest updates which I had to use since my new slingplayer wasn't supported by the old app, i couldn't do it anymore.

I paid for some games with higher production values/costs if that counts. The only non-entertainment app I've ever bought was Unified Remote Desktop which I used a ton for like a year then never used again. I mean, it was like $10-15 or something but it transfers each time you get a new phone and it does work well and get updated. I once made the mistake of putting it on my roommates computer to mess with him, but when I opened the app to prank him he was fapping to porn. Awkward. :(

I paid the $4 for swiftkey, damn worth it too. I've also paid a dollar once for GTA III when it was on sale, but the other apps are usually either free or "free".

I'd buy them for less popular korean musicians in hopes they keep putting out albums.

for indie genre, much of the time, you can't find it "arrrrg...ed"  so, you kinda have to..

But yeah.. def support indie bands before they get picked up by big labels..

Sorry, from reading other replies I am beginning to wonder ... is owning an Android device a prerequisite for participating in this survey?

I suppose non-n00b iOS peeps would have a parallel experience on this subject...

Though it's WAYYY easier for Team A
