Seeing the pic of the choc mini next to the keycool84, the choc mini is noticeably smaller. The wasd guide says that the bottom row are non-standard but how did noppoo manage to get the other rows shorter than the keycool?

At a quick glance, the mod rows are different.
Choc Mini has:
1.5x - 1x - 1.5x - 6x? - 1x - 1x - 1.5x - 1x - 1x - 1x = 16.5 units total
Keycool84 has
1.25x - 1.25x - 1.25x - 6.25x - 1x - 1x - 1x - 1x - 1x - 1x = 16 units total

Both keyboards are same size, 16 x 6. In that photo you linked it's only a perspective illusion that they are different size.
