Title: WTB/LF/begging for: Ergodox 3.5mm TRRS connectors

Hey all!

I finally got my PCBs for my custom keyboard and got really excited to build a bunch for the holidays!

But then I got sad: the 3.5mm TRRS connector from the ergodox kit (this one (http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/SJ-43514/CP-43514-ND/368146)), is back ordered until February :( :'(

Anyone got any extras they'd be willing to sell/trade?  Or know someone who does?  Really need to figure out how to get my hands on a few!

have you tried digikey, mouser or sparkfun already?

digikey is backordered until february, i couldn't find the part on mouser or sparkfun -- or octopart, for that matter :(

found that one -- from the drawing, it looks like that one comes out at a right angle to the board rather than lying flat.

the drawing linked to from the datasheet page shows it a bit clearer: http://www.molex.com/pdm_docs/sd/472570001_sd.pdf

Ah, yeah, I see where it would sit perpendicular to the board instead of parallel.  That's the closest I've found so far, sadly.

30 000 in stock, can ship immediately.

same package, same manufacturer, only difference is this one has a tip switch on pin 5. take some scissors, cut pin 5 off i guess. should be a drop in replacement at that point.

eta:from the datasheet it looks like you probably dont even need to remove pin 5.

I just realized I have some (6) I probably won't need because my new keyboard halves aren't separable and i'll likely direct wire them.
