Title: What is the weighting on the average laptop scissor switch keyboard?
Post by: Air tree on Sun, 08 December 2013, 05:23:55
Well i was wondering what the weighting was on these type of keyboards, I'm typing on one right now and i just want to gauge on how heavy of Switches i am typing on right now so i can decide on 55g or 45 topre.

I was under the impression that they go from 62g-65g, But then i was recently told that they where alot lighter than that. could someone clear the air for me and give me an answer on how heavy the average scissor switch is? I'm using a Toshiba satellite if that helps.

Test it for yourself

Just stack nickles or dimes or pennies with known weights ontop of your key until it just about goes down..  then count them and multiply.. done..

Every laptop will be different..  the age of the keyboard, and the usage statistic of the key being tested (e- key ) vs (tilda-key ~)

I tried to get everyone on GH to adopt it... but they're too lazy to set it up...

You need emoticonverter addon and toolbar autohide addon for firefox.

This is the only known way to use it effectively...

Once you install those addons,, use emoticonverter and LOAD the xml file I've attached, it will have all the rabbit and the cat ones.
