But it seems kinda cool:

Curious to know what they plugged it into to test that it was fully functional....
-
oooooo.... that design is very steam punk
-
That's cool. I love the open switches. It just gives an entirely different characteristic to the keyboard. (and the I'm-totally-not-from-the-70s wood case, of course)
-
I like the label on the back. Apparently, this keyboard weighs 7 pounds. No spec listed for "BTU/HR" though. :)

It has some sort of ribbon cable but not sure what type of connection and the switches are unique too.

God damn that looks awesome!

The switches aren't just unique, they're backwards. Pushing a key breaks contact, letting the controller know ... what, there was a spike in voltage, instead of a drop? Otherwise should be convertible to USB maybe/probably I dunno.
Yeah like SpamaRay said. What did they test it with?

Not so uncommon. Beamsprings do the same.
That said. I "think" pressing a key makes contact at that crosspoint, but I really need to study the mechanism in more detail to be sure.
Also note what appears to be a DIY matrix up top.
As far as testing... maybe the seller has the system this KB was built for?

Did anyone here end up having this? It'd be cool to learn more about it :)

It looks like HaaTa got it:

Some pictures also appear on his imgur account.
Paging through them: WHAT that case wasn't actual wood? what a ripoff.
I love it when HaaTa gets one of these, so I can look at the pictures and live vicariously through them.
