Title: Backlit Keycap Sets?
Post by: HPE1000 on Sun, 15 December 2013, 11:19:31
I tried to search and I could not find it so I am going to start this, sorry if there is another thread out there talking about this.

Is there a single place online to get backlit compatible keycaps that only let the light go through the legends? I don't want the keycaps that make the whole keycap light up.

The only ones I can find are the kbt pure keycaps and I don't want those since it has all the fn layer stuff on it. Can I buy something like shine 2 or 3 keycaps?

Don't lecture me about how bad backlit keycaps are(which always seems to happen every time someone asks), I know they aren't as good but I would still like a set..

There may well be time to still get in on the Cherry Replica Set GB - although by the look of the pics you might find that they let more light through that you want them to...

They are in the Accessories -> Cherry Keycaps section.  They should be getting more sets in soon, according to a recent post--along with their incoming shipment of yellow Ducky Shine IIIs.

Thanks, I will keep my eyes out for them then. Any pictures of the set as a whole? Does it have any ducky branding on them that would not look right on a non ducky keyboard? If its just 2 ducky windows keys I am sure I could find some extra non ducky keys so that doesn't matter.

It's going to look exactly like Ducky Shine caps do if you look up those keyboards, with Ducky branding on the OS caps.  Those sets generally come in black, dark gray, dark purple, light pink, and white.  Not sure which assortment MK is getting.
