They were expensive right out of the gate.  On top of that they aren't being made any more.  Add together, get ultimate wallet hack.

I think more like a life hack cause I would need to sell some of my organs for that.

don't worry in this era of massdrop and group buys; if datahand is that good, sooner or later an enthusiast will organize a group buy for datahand and it will be under $500.

although theoretically it seems like a fantastically good input peripheral, I suspect in practice it is not that great. It never took off and turned into a mass market thing with prices significantly lowered due to economies of scale. When stuff like that happens (or fail to happen), you gotta ask why.

The world is filled with people who have arthritis or RSI pain. and a good many of these people are rich and powerful eg 80 year old lawyers, professional investors, politicians. If the datahand didn't work for them, or didn't work enough for them to spread the word to their colleagues at Bank X or the Senate at state capital Y, I'm guessing in practice the datahand has its own weaknesses.

Number one of which, is that it's a one size fits all, so a 70lb petite woman and a 500lb fatty are both going to use the same datahand.

They don't make them anymore.  I don't even think the company is still around.  However, OldDataHands is working on an amazing clone.  May see one of those in the not too distant future!

Zero feedback + seller puts up an item for $2500--seems legit!  :))

It's a pretty random item, however, so he probably has it, but still...  I would not risk paying that much money to someone with absolutely no feedback, who has only just registered to list this datahand.

The winner of this auction could only be somebody who lives nearby. If you can go in person to collect it and test on the spot, you're very safe. But then again, I wouldn't carry $2500 in cash to the home of somebody I don't know, who could be a dubious character.
