I turn off the LEDs to not waste power when I'm not using it.
Keyboard roof?
Ah, I used to but then I got custom cases that those plastic things don't fit on. Slowly over time I stopped giving a ****, now I don't even use them on boards they fit on. In all honesty, my boards are none the worse for wear so I concluded it's pointless. A light dusting with whatever's lying around works just fine for me.

Saving watt of power!

If you did the keyboard cover thing twice a day, 5 seconds each time, 365 days a year, it would amount to 60 minutes.
that's $7.25 at minimum wage.. which buys 48Kwh of power
@ 5v 0.5amps USB 2.0, the $7.25 buys you 19,332 hours of continuous keyboard power.
2.2 years of continuous keyboard power.
so... No, the power saving is not significant.
Only on my DT-35. I don't care enough about all my other keyboards.

Once the novelty fades, there's really no point in babying the thing..
I realized this years ago, so I use the heck out of anything I purchase from day one..
What exactly am I saving my keyboard from.. or for? The day that there's no more keyboards... LOLOL....
Only on my DT-35. I don't care enough about all my other keyboards.
What is so special about a DT-35? Shouldn't you be more concerned for your blue one?

You're not even Korean. How would you know?
Where I used to live was very dusty. After a couple of weeks there'd be a visible layer of dust over everything.
So I got into the habit of always covering computer equipment that wasn't turned on/didn't need ventilation.
Where I live now is much less dusty, but I still cover most thing.
I put keyboard roofs on all my keyboards at night, and when I go out for multiple hours. I also dust them everyday. Can't stand seeing dust on black keyboards, which is why I tend to prefer white keyboards.
one thing I really hate about modern tech - almost everything is black. And almost everything soon gets visible dust.
you can't see dust on white or light gray furniture, which allows you to be lazier.I put keyboard roofs on all my keyboards at night, and when I go out for multiple hours. I also dust them everyday. Can't stand seeing dust on black keyboards, which is why I tend to prefer white keyboards.

But black is anti-stain. All depends on which you feel like might be an issue, wouldn't you think?

You can - the black surfaces attract the light coloured dust, and the white surfaces attract the dark coloured dust.
Sifo, you blue board looks sexy. It would be ashamed if I found out where you live and that board goes missing lol.Only on my DT-35. I don't care enough about all my other keyboards.

Unfortunately, there's more light colored dust than dark colored dust :(
I have a 'brilliant' idea.
Some manufacturer should come out with a keyboard casing design that looks like a total mess.
That way, it is black dust proof, white dust proof, and stain proof.one thing I really hate about modern tech - almost everything is black. And almost everything soon gets visible dust.
