Don't be--iOS (and apple stuff) have their benefits.  I've been using various custom Android ROMs on my phones and a tablet for 2 and a half years now, and they are invariably very buggy--the trade-off for more functionality.  I loved my iPad when I had it for having great stability, superior screen, and overall it was a pleasure to use (could even do some productive things things like remote desktop connection, Evernote for synced work notes, etc.)--everything was very snappy.

Yep hated my transformer prime w root. Love my iPad mini ! Jailbreaks rule.

stfu about android. that has nothing to do with this thread.

Jailbreak isn't working too hot for me ATM, restoring, going to try again.

Be patient. It takes a while to go through Configuring System (1/2)

Is there any reason to jailbreak it? The only things I ran on my jailbroken iOS 6 phone was a Multi-task switcher and an app draw equivalent...

you the best

on jailbreaks: My peers seem to like jailbreaking their phones. I personally don't see the appeal.

There are 2 jailbreak apps I miss. haptic keyboard (keyboard vibrates on keypress) and making google chrome the default browser instead of safari.

You can already get those roms and emulators without jailbreaking.

Yeah I had that default chrome on too and an Adblock, but chrome on iOS 7 has not been great constant crashes and ****ty performance are driving me crazy

The thing is even Saurik didn't know about the jaikbreak release. So that means that Cydia is still not updated.
Hooray -_-

Depends on what you'll use the jailbreak for.  At least iFile still works.

So I still don't know if I even want to install IOS 7. I'm perfectly content with IOS 6 for now.

apparently the Jailbreak's still a mess, so it'll prob be best to wait until the dust settles.

The only issue I've had is not jailbreaking on top of a clean restore

It's an improvement but it's not perfect, without a jailbroken iOS 6 install on my iPhone iOS 6 is a joke... And as most apps are being ruined by updating to look 'fancy' you might as well update and at least get some benefits

If you do this, get nitrous. Allows you to use the superfast javascript engine from safari in other apps.

Well we can't really do anything until the mobile substrate is updated.
