So im trying to figure out the best way to remove the plunger on my topre board to give it a full cleaning.
I can't figure out how to remove the plunger piece as it seems to have a lock/snap in backing
anyone ever remove the plungers for cleaning b4??

Although there is that little notch on the stem to stop it disappearing down the switch, I found that with the little bit of play in the stem, I could move it so the notch had all the available gap, and then just tap the stem down with a phillips screwdriver inside it, very gently and it just popped out. I think the only worrying part would be if you rounded the notch's bottom edge off, and I think that would take repeated removals, or hitting it too hard to remove.
That was just my own limited experience of it, but many are removed to silence and replace. I was concerned about it but found it was no stress.

I removed them when I added Dental Bands, I flip the board over and with the backend of my tiny screwdriver (ps3 controller screwdriver) it is the same size as the plunger, i push it against the plunger and it pops out.

I just used a spudger and firmly pushed until they popped out.

I was pointed out to this link awhile ago by 002 when it came to removing the plungers. It was a thread on deskthority:

Have a look at what 002 asked and then the response from OP (dpanth3r).
