Have lurked a bit (mostly through searches) but deciding to get in on some ergodox action and figured it would be worth while to become a member and start participating instead of just lurking.

Yeah, it looks like a lot of work to put together but... the finish product looks amazing. Especially since I want to try a modified colemak layout with layers, all the extra thumb buttons just look super handy. Thinking that with a trackball in the middle or something would be a pretty sweet productivity rig. I missed the recent massdrop kit buy though so looking for one for sale or a kit right now, that failing I will just source all the parts in the next week or two. There is so much information I am having trouble sifting through it now. Like... which key caps to get, or what profiles specifically etc. Much reading to be done.

There is a ton of ergodox info, but reading through all of the threads, yes... that will certainly take time :D

What switch are you thinking of using/getting?

I run a ducky shine 2 tkl with cherry blues right now and I like it. Thinking about trying to find some lighter spring for it which also seems like no easy task. If I get an ergodox I will either buy or build it with cherry blues as well (and the lighter springs if I can find them / get them made somewhere in Canada)
