I picked up a set of 100 from mechanicalkeyboards a few months back, and just got around to swaping springs to make them Ergo Clears, but as I was doing this, I noticed that out of the 100, maybe.. 5 or 6 had springs that looked more like the springs out of my vintage blacks.
Is this an issue anybody else has noticed? It's not a concern for me, because I was planning on swapping them anyways, and even if I hadn't planned on it, I doubt I would have noticed a difference. But the springs are longer, with more turns (which in my limited spring knowledge, implies that they're a lighter weight)
Anyone else with similar experiences?

I've found some older clears that have gold looking springs but I haven't opened up my new clears.

when i was changing springs in my vintage blacks, i found out that the springs were kinda gold. may be someone who has seen different types of switches can comment on this.

I'll take some pics tomorrow, when I've got better lighting, and show you guys what I mean. I can't just judge weight by pressing on 'em, but they're definitely different springs.

All the Clears I own which I have opened up have slightly gold springs. At least more gold than the Originative 62g limiteds I was replacing them with.
