roll them up in a foam sheet, then roll inside a big plastic bag, and put in basement near the Central AC

this keeps them at optimum storage conditions.. not too hot during summer, not too cold during winters, and the bag will keep it from getting too moist..

You shouldn't ask us. You should contact your local furniture dealer, and see what stock he has, and if he doesn't have anything good, contact an interior designer and see if he can get suitable stuff built for you at a reasonable price.

If you're in Russia (the biggest of all countries, and also fairly lacking in infrastructure outside major cities) I think it is a very bad idea to buy anything not locally made. Shipping is ridiculously expensive for keyboards already!

I keep thinking a more stylish and sturdy version of a magazine shelf would be an excellent keyboard storage/display

I plan to build something like this in the spring.

"If anybody wants to see result" - what kind of question is that? ;)

Of course we'd like to see pictures - keyboards included!!

My collection storage container of choice: Rubbermaid Roughneck 14gal/ 53L
(http://www.phytodiagnostics.com/images/Post%20Harvest%20Testing%20Page/Rubbermaid%20tote%20dimensions.jpg)

In action... and you can add a TKL in box on top of it and it will still close properly.
As you can see you can fit 2 IBM M back to back on each sides. IMHO the perfect container size and not expensive.
[attachimg=1]

Not good for display though :-)

Nice setup there! I'm rocking some Ikea Expedit shelving (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20135300/#/60135299).

I'm liking yours and Ivan's idea way better though.

Thanks rowdy although I am looking for those cheap DIY or stuff you get from those $2 shops - there's bound to be one. I remember one poster in GH who got a stackable drawer-like from a Japanese base retail store called Daisho.. but my Daisho doesn't have that. One day, I will get them!

I've just checked 6 sets of Tai Hao keycaps.  I don't think I'd have the patience to put them all back in to fancy display cases.  Ziplock bags suffice for me :)

I just bought a bag of Glady's zip log... what I like about them is that there is a zipper that you can zip on and off - those make great key caps bag and will have to do until I find a suitable storage.
(it's made in Australia so you probably know what I am referring to)

Probably GLAD, rather than Glady's.

But I use the el-cheapo Hercules.  Same sort of thing, but a bulk pack of 120.  Actually by other half uses them for our daughter's school sandwiches, and I borrow some from time to time for my keycaps.
