Title: WASD V2 87-Key Custom Mechanical Keyboard
Post by: avtar on Tue, 31 December 2013, 11:23:05
Does anyone use this keyboard?
http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/products/mechanical-keyboard/wasd-v2-87-key-custom-mechanical-keyboard.html

I'm wondering which controller and PCB it uses and if it's possible to use custom firmware, ex. https://github.com/tmk/tmk_keyboard

And also if there would be any custom case options.

Thanks.

Pretty sure the controller and firmware are both custom made to WASD's spec. I doubt it's reprogrammable.

However, that doesn't mean that you couldn't mod your own board with something like a Teensy 2.0 to enable use of the TMK firmware.

Thanks for clearing that up. Conveniently I ordered a Teensy controller but I think I'll try getting a Phantom board.

Look in the classifieds for your phantom parts
