I'm not sure if you're like me, but I like to have a fair few keyboards, I like to try out different keyboards and what not.
So basically, in the past 2 months I've had 3 keyboards: The Keycool 84 /w Browns, the Filco tenkeyless /w Reds and my current keyboard, the Noppoo Choc Mini /w Reds.
Now my gripe is this, I used to have a Noppoo back in March, but it broke around August time I believe (it started to suffer from keybouncing issues and I couldn't fix it), so since then I've gone through 2-3 keyboards.
So to make a long story short, I bought my Filco because it was advised to me that it's one of the best keyboards on the market, it's really well built, lasts a long time, looks fantastic etc, I got it, I liked it, it was alright, but I wasn't sold it on it 100%, I went back to my Noppoo as it's my favourite keyboard to use and what not, but since I've been using my Noppoo I've started to miss my Filco now while the keys on the Filco aren't the best, they're like smooth abs's or something, I still miss it as it feels like a better board.
Does anyone else feel like this, when they get a new board, they miss the old one and want to switch back and all that stuff or am I just a keyboard freak.

i think that those of us who have multiple boards just rotate every so often
i go back from browns to blues to reds, blacks, etc. to alps to space invaders to bs, etc............
some probably think i'm crazy, but i could really care less
we won't even get into switching out keycaps..........., which makes me anxious for my penumbra that many of us are now waiting for

Is it that you like the Cherry profile keys on the Choc mini better? You can get some other keys just like them for example (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=50935.0)... to put on your Filco.

I tend to take one into work and leave it there, as it is too awkward to carry it during my commute. Currently QFS MX greens with PBT dyesub set.
At home my server has any random keyboard on it (currently QFR MX blacks with Bumblebee set). My games machine usually has my Ducky Shine (MX blue, red LED).
My Mac, that I use the most, I swap around between HHKB, Model M, and whatever other keyboard I have lying around (currently KeyCool 87, MX red).
I have not found any one switch or layout that I absolutely prefer over any other, although I do seem to prefer stiffer springs.
I have not found any keyboard that I really dislike using.
I do not want to sell any of the keyboards I have.
Therefore I swap them around from time to time.

I have my favorite, with a couple of backups, and my 2nd favorite, with a couple of backups, and probably nearly a dozen keyboards that I really like and respect, packed up in the basement (all of the above constitutes "my collection").
Then there are at least a dozen more keyboards in the house, not including the 3 that the wife and kids use.
A few of those are parts donors or recipients, but most need to be discarded.
My problem is the ones that are too good to throw away or give to charity, but not worth enough to keep or sell on ebay.

so yes..............we are very passionate about our boards and each one has a special place
i really feel more normal after seeing the responses as well

My keyboard collection went from 32 to 16. I mainly sold the duplicates that I had to fund other keyboard purchases like my F660C and 87u.
I'm trying to keep just one keyboard per switch. Dell AT101W (black ALPS), FK-2001 w/Windows keys (white ALPS), SSK, etc...etc...
I used to switch my collection around a lot but I've fallen in love with the 87% and other small form factors that I don't use my vintage boards as much. :(

I think I will try and get some better keys for the filco, thanks for the link Ivan, I may end up using that link of yours. Hopefully you ship to the UK ^^.
