Title: Does anyone know what type of key mechanism this laptop uses?
Post by: dante on Wed, 01 January 2014, 21:38:48
My mother in law has a Toshiba Satellite L775 laptop and I really like the key feel on it.  The keyboard looks like this:

It doesn't feel like chiclet but I'm not sure it can be considered scissor switch either.  The keys are pretty large and very stable.  Very short throw distance and comfortable yet precise action.

The laptop is a couple years old now and they do not make any more keyboards like this - they are all chiclets now.

Wow - thanks!  It has to be one of the best feeling scissor switches I've ever tried.  It's extremely pleasing to the touch.
