Title: Korean Keyboard
Post by: DrSchlock on Fri, 03 January 2014, 14:29:52
Ok, so one of my friends is travelling to South Korea soon on business.  He knows I am into keyboards and offered to pick up a keyboard for me while in the country. Problem is that I'm not very familiar with Korean keyboards. Any recommendations for a good keyboard that is hard to get in the US/elsewhere but is available in Korea?

It were me I would look for some Cherry G80-somethingKO models since I assume they are way cheaper there than online sellers. Some of the idfactory stuff is kind of nice (though it also looks incredibly similar to Leopold/Keycool jazzed up a bit) and not too common outside Korea... other than the custom things which is unlikely to get unless they will have plenty of time it seem to me that most is same stuff as everywhere + Hangul on keycap.

Leopold 700R, but that's about it really. The only cool thing you want other than that is a custom.

Technically, any keyboard in Korea is a Korean keyboard. Tell him to grab them all.

I agree.
Quick question, how big are the price differences are Korean keyboards sold in korea or US?
Is it just the shipping that costs more?

I think korean shipping is not reallly that expensive.

Price difference should be fairly little

If you're interested, it would be a good opportunity to get a board with hangul legends, since those seem to be damn hard to find for some reason.
