Hi there folks. I'm a longtime laptop user in the planning stages of building my first computer. As a very first step I purchased a CM Storm Trigger with blue switches and an Asus monitor to use with my laptop.
I can't go back after using Cherry switches. No more membranes or laptop keyboards if I can avoid 'em in the future.
To that end, my main reason for joining is learning more about 60% and 40% keyboards. The computer I'm putting together is going to be a mini-itx system, because it may be traveling with me overseas this year (if I am very lucky). To that end, if I don't have room for my Trigger i was considering getting a smaller mechanical keyboard to take along. My understanding, though, is that 40% keyboards aren't really produced by companies, so i was informed my best bet may be joining a group buy on these forums.
Any info you folks might have would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome!
I have no clue if this is going to turn into a GB, but there's a pretty big thread about jdcarpe's 40% board over here (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=47133.0)!
